Emily & Gray’s wedding at The Breakwater Inn was the kind of summer celebration that instantly puts you at ease — coastal, airy, and beautifully intentional from start to finish. Set along the quiet edge of the river in Kennebunkport, their day blended timeless New England charm with thoughtful design moments that made everything feel warm, welcoming, and deeply personal.
Working alongside Nicole Mower Events, who led the planning with her signature calm, detail-driven approach, we created a tented environment that felt like a natural extension of the property. The layout, flow, and guest experience were all considered down to the inch — and it showed.
The Tent & Design
For this celebration, we installed one of our signature Sperry sailcloth tents, its white canopy catching the early-evening light as guests arrived. The tent’s classic lines and hand-polished wooden poles set the tone for an elegant but relaxed coastal evening.
Inside, we built a custom flooring layout to create a smooth, seamless foundation for dinner, dancing, and everything in between. The structure gave the space a crisp, elevated feel while keeping it functional for heels, linens, and late-night dance moves.
Atmospheric Lighting
As sunset settled over the harbor, lighting transformed the tent into something soft, warm, and intimate. The beautiful basket lighting highlighted the sailcloth canopy and added accents throughout the tent to complement the florals and table design. The glow supported the coastal setting without overpowering it… just enough to make everything feel magical as the night unfolded!
The Details That Pulled It All Together
Apotheca Flowers brought in organic, textured arrangements that felt fresh-picked from a seaside garden, perfectly balancing color and movement.
Casey Durgin Photography captured every moment with her clean, emotional style — the tent glowing at dusk, the waterfront views, and the effortless joy of the day.
And with the impeccable coordination of Nicole Mower Events, every transition was smooth, every detail intentional, and every guest beautifully cared for.
